Huskies Red Playing in Cambridge
The Huskies are on the road playing in the Cambridge MD tournament. So far so good, the team has won both of their games. Lots of goals scored in the two games against teams from Oakville. The boys look good playing a better team game, and all lines are starting to click together. One more game on Saturday against London, and a good chance that we will move on to the playoffs on Sunday.
Well, It was not to be. The Huskies had a great opportunity against the London Nationals but were only able to tie them on Saturday, when an extra half point would have knocked them out of contention.
Then to add insult to injury, on Sunday morning, the Huskies played the Nationals again and were eliminated by them by a score of 3-2. But the Nationals came to play and the Huskies managed only one period of sustained pressure. They pulled their goalie in the last minute, but just could not get the puck on the net.
Oh well, it was a fun tournament non the less. One more tournament to go this year. One more chance.
