As the boys did to support Breast Cancer awareness with pink tape on their sticks, the team will honor Corporal Nathan Cirillo, Patrice Vincent, and all those fallen before them, with red tape on their sticks for the month of November. The sacrifices of all the men and women that fought for and continue to preserve Canada's values and freedom will never be forgotten nor taken for granted. Our players are able to freely play a game we all love because of them.

This weekend the Huskies Novice Red team entered our second tournament of the year full of enthusiasm, and a desire to compete. Our first game the boys played hard and for the most part, kept the play in the other teams end. A few costly mistakes resulted in a tie. Game 2 was approached with much more focus and determination, resulting in our first win of the season and a jubilant group of boys.

Since mid-August the boys has been working hard both on and
off the ice. With numerous practices, goalie school, shooting clinics and ball
hockey, under their belts, they kicked off the season with a couple of
exhibition games and then their season opener.
