The Hamilton Huskies Minor Bantam A/AA team won 4-1 in game seven of a hard fought Alliance Bristol Championship. This concludes a very successful year for this team which brought home various awards throughout the year. I am very proud of the work ethic, discipline, perseverance, and camaraderie this team displayed this year. From our team to our AP's this has truly been one of the best, most humble groups of players I have ever had the pleasure and privilege to be around. It was an honour for me to be your coach. The Minor Bantam AA Huskies are the February Royal LePage State Realty Team of the Month! January was a winning month for the team! The first of two highlights came on January 17 when the team went undefeated to win the Toronto Aeros Tournament. The second memorable moment for the team was on January 29 when they took to the ice with Boston Bruin Zac Rinaldo and Edmonton Oiler Darnell Nurse. The team was honoured to help Zac with his Fight for a Cause charity. It was a thrill to skate with the two home town NHL heroes while raising funds for McMaster Children’s Hospital.

The Minor Bantam AA Huskies went undefeated to win the Toronto Aeros Tournament on January 17. With five wins and a tie under their belt they headed into a hard fought battle against St. Lawrence Steel for the championship. The boys played their hearts out – offense, defense and goaltending was all stellar. Grit and determination paid off when the Huskies pulled ahead by a score of 1-0 with hard shot from the point with 47 seconds left in the third period! That goal was the game winner. Congratulations on a well-deserved win!
