Despite a slow start Sunday night,
allowing two early goals by Huron-Perth, Hamilton bridged the gap in offensive opportunities with their improved intensity, passing accuracy and increased scoring opportunities. Several breakaway chances kept the Lakers on their toes, while the Huskies denied any short-handed goals through a lengthy 6-minute stretch of uninterrupted penalties in the second. Perseverance eventually lit the lamp with a feisty goal, certainly a forward-moving attribute whose momentum leading into this weekend’s home game against London should give the home team an objective within reasonable reach.
