The Power Skating Skills School was developed to help hockey players of all levels to attain better balance, edge control, flow and agility. At many levels of Hockey, limited ice time does not allow the coaches to spend as much time as they would like teaching proper skating technique. Our program focuses on learning to attain optimum power from every stroke. We stress correct stride and edge control. We work on quick starts, fast stops, cross cuts, proper turns and connecting edge movements to create flow and balance in both forward and backward skating. Our Goal is to provide each player with the power, balance and agility necessary to become a better hockey player. Through this process we know that we help to create better athletes that sustain fewer injuries.
