It only takes a one-goal difference to prove that
perseverance and determination can change the outcome of a challenge, as Hamilton
won its second home game against Cambridge in their Playoff series tonight. Now tied heading into tomorrow’s possible deciding
game, let’s hope that Team Canada strikes GOLD in the Olympics while the
Huskies continue to soar.

Hamilton defeated Cambridge for the first time this season in a timely manner on home ice during their second playoff meeting. After an emotionally charged group embrace around their net-minder, the Huskies celebrated their well-earned victory with pride as they looked to the stands to thank their season-long supporters at the sound of the final buzzer.
"Anyone can support a team that is winning - that takes no courage. But to stand behind a team and to defend a team that is losing, that takes a lot of courage".
The Huskies look forward to another road trip this week, and a repeat performance as they return to Chedoke home ice next Saturday.

Last Tuesday the 10AAA Huskies handed Rachel O’Reilly
of Hamilton Food Share a cheque in the amount of $4,307 from the success of
their holiday fundraiser. As a repeat
initiative from last season, their second drive helped total $7,365 over both
occasions which, according to HFS, equates to over $36,800 in value toward providing
the hungry in the local community with adequate, safe and appropriate food choices. This is in addition to the team’s donation to
City Kidz which provided almost 200 children with the Gift of Christmas over
the last two seasons. None of this would have been possible without the generous help from the Charity of Hope, a major contributor whose non-profit endeavours provide funds to children in need in the Hamilton/Halton communities. Thank you to everyone
for their hard work and generosity!
