The U8 White Huskies got their season underway with dryland fitness testing on Saturday, September 6 at Hamilton Fitness Academy.
The session introduced players to age-appropriate drills that measured speed, agility, strength, and endurance, while encouraging teamwork and effort over results. This was the first of eight dryland sessions (Initial assessment, 6 sessions and final evaluation) the team will complete over the next three months, aimed at improving their speed, agility, and quickness. Coaches were proud of the players’ energy and positive attitude, noting that the training builds not only hockey skills, but also confidence, goal setting, and team spirit. The Huskies are eager to carry what they learned off the ice into their games as the season continues. A big thank-you to Hamilton Fitness Academy for hosting our team!
