The Hamilton Huskies U13 BB returned home this past weekend as Champions at the Welland Little NHL Tournament.
This
was an amazing achievement for the boys & Coaches. There were many highs
and lows throughout the tournament weekend, but the boys kept their heads high
and their eye on the prize, not letting any other team get in their way!
The boys fought hard to earn the Championship Cup by eliminating the Leading Team Elmvale Coyotes in the Semi-Final Game. Tying the score 1-1 and going into 3 on 3 overtime for 5 mins they went on to win the game in a shoot-out earning themselves a spot in the FINAL GAME!
The Huskies then went on to beat out the Durham Crusaders 4-2 to WIN the CUP & earn the title of the Welland Little NHL Tournament Champions!
An honorable mention to their Goalie, #35 Lincoln Strong, who was the recipient of the The Weekend Hockey MVP Award at the Welland Little NHL Tournament! Linc was an integral part to supporting his Huskies Team getting to the end & making save after save during the semi-finals & the Championship Game.
