With the 2022-23 season set to officially begin on September 30th, ALLIANCE Hockey is providing this reminder to all members that the hockey environment which includes on, and off ice activities shall consist of respect and adherence to the rules and regulations in place to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all participants.

Everyone deserves to participate in a respectful environment.

It is our collective responsibility to ensure that hockey reflects inclusivity, fairness, and safety.

Speak out against maltreatment.

All participants should be aware of the negative impact of maltreatment and recognize the ways in which we can create an inclusive and respectful hockey environment.

 Racial Slurs – the Hockey Canada Rule is a minimum 5-game suspension. ALL incidents, whether heard by an Official or not, must be investigated.

 Officials, Coaches, players, and all others involved in the game are instructed speak up and report any maltreatment. Eliminating trash talk is a giant step towards ending maltreatment.

 Hockey is best enjoyed without negative distractions - whether on or off the ice.

 There is NO room in the game for behaviour that is contrary to the Codes of Conduct.
