The Hamilton Huskies are pleased to announce that Rick Chapman will take the 2007 AAA age group forward into the 2022-23 season as they play in their U16 year.
This is an important division for both our players and our organization and Rick is the right coach to lead this group.

Hamilton Huskies U-16 AAA Coaching Announcement
The Hamilton Huskies are very excited and pleased to announce that Head Coach Rick Chapman and his outstanding coaching staff will be returning to coach the 2007 AAA U-16 team for the 2022-23 season. The members of this staff include returning Assistant coaches Charlie Polizzi, Jeremy Martin and Pat Cormack. Samantha Polizzi will also be returning as the team’s trainer.
Coach Chapman and his staff have successfully led the 2007 AAA U-15 team in the right direction as the team is currently in 3rd place in the East Division. Previously Rick was the bench boss of the Hamilton Huskies U-16 AAA team during the 2020/21 development season with the 2005 AAA age group where 2 of his Huskies players were drafted in the OHL Priority Selection. Coach Chapman has extensive experience in coaching for the past 27 years including serving as a Coach with Team OMHA’s U-16 team at the OHL Gold Cup. Many of Coach Chapman’s years of coaching have been at the U-16 AAA and U-18 AAA levels with both the Cambridge Hawks and Guelph Gryphons organizations. Many of his players in those years were drafted in the OHL Priority Selection Draft as well. Rick played Junior hockey during his playing days and has a great understanding of what it takes for his players to get to the next level. Coach Chapman is a High Performance 1 certified coach and has spent his entire life working with players of all ages through various camps and development sessions that he has led or been a part of.
Returning Assistant Coach Charlie Polizzi is a proud Hamilton Huskies AAA alumnus who went on to play Tier 2 Junior A hockey with the Dixie Beehives. Previously to this season Coach Polizzi was the Head Coach of the Hamilton Huskies U-15 AAA (06) team after serving a number of successful seasons as a coach with the 06 AA team.
Returning Assistant Coach Jeremy Martin played his minor hockey in Elmira Ontario before accepting a scholarship at Liberty University in Lynchburg Virginia. During his time at Liberty University, he led the South Conference in hits in back-to-back seasons helping to lead the Flames to both the Regional and National Tournaments. After 100 games of Collegiate hockey, Coach Martin returned to Canada where he worked in skills and player development in a wide range of ages and skill levels.
Returning Goaltender Coach Pat Cormack played 2 years of Tier 2 Junior A before moving on to play Collegiate hockey at both Kennesaw University and Liberty University. He was named to the All-South Conference team twice as a goaltender. Coach Cormack has spent time coaching goaltenders of various ages and levels since 2007.
Returning Trainer Samantha Polizzi has over 10 years of experience in the fitness industry. Samantha holds a Level 2 certifications in strength and conditioning and performance enhancement as well as many sports injury rehab credits while actively working as a Sports Performance Coach specializing in hockey development. Samantha presently has her Level 2 Hockey Trainers Certification and is responsible for all of the dryland programming for the players on the 2007 team.
The Huskies organization feel very fortunate to have such an experienced staff which is sure to greatly benefit their players reaching their full potential.
