Hamilton Huskies Profile of U16 AAA
The Hamilton Huskies are very excited to announce Andrew Fritsch as the Head Coach of the U16 (2006) AAA team for the 2021-22 season. Coach Fritsch comes to the Huskies with an extensive playing, developing and coaching resume.
Andrew was coached by GM Mike Spadafora as a member of the Hamilton Huskies 93’ age group that competed in the prestigious Quebec Pee Wee Tournament. He played the majority of his minor hockey career with the Brantford 99’ers where he was a 3rd round OHL pick of the Niagara Ice Dogs. Coach Fritsch played 5 years in the OHL winning a Championship with the Owen Sound Attack in 2010. Andrew was also a 6th round pick of the NHL’s Arizona Coyotes before going on to play several years with the Laurier Golden Hawks in the CIS while earning his degree.
Coach Fritsch is the owner and lead instructor of F7 Hockey Development where he trains many top players. He is the development coach for the Brantford 99er’s Tier 2 Junior A team and in 2019 spent time with the Toronto Maple Leafs Development staff under the tutelage of his former OHL Soo Greyhounds Head Coach and General Manager Sheldon Keefe and Kyle Dubas.
During the past several seasons Coach Fritsch was a highly valued Assistant Coach under Head Coach Scott Rex with the U16 Brantford 99’ers winning back-to-back Alliance Championships and OHL Cup appearances. Coach Fritsch played an integral role in helping develop many of the U16 Brantford players into OHL draft picks during his time as an Assistant Coach and continues to train many of those players today.
Looking forward to the winning pedigree and culture that Coach Fritsch and his staff will be bringing to their Huskies U16 AAA Team this season!
