Huskies U-16 AAA Coach Scott Rex signs with the L.A. Kings

General Manager Mike Spadafora and the Hamilton Huskies would like to extend a big congratulations to Scott Rex as he accepts a position with the NHL’s L.A. Kings.  Recently named Hamilton Huskies U-16 AAA Head Coach Scott Rex will be working with the Kings hockey development group in the 2021/22 NHL season.

Much like Huskies U-18 AAA Coach Vince Laise who had returned to the OHL in recent months, Coach Rex moves on from the Huskies to the NHL in his professional hockey journey.  While the organization is disappointed to see these elite coaches depart the Huskies it speaks volumes to the type of coaches that the Hamilton Huskies organization is committed to bringing in to develop their players to the best of their potential.  We are very pleased to announce that Scott will be a part of the Hamilton Huskies Hockey Operations group as a player and coach development advisor.

The Hamilton Huskies wish Coach Rex all the very best in his new and exciting hockey endeavour!!
