Hamilton Huskies Minor Bantam AA Give Back!!
The Hamilton Huskies Minor Bantam AA Team has been busy over the last week, not only on the ice, but off of it as well. The boys went about spreading the Christmas spirit by giving back to their community.
First they helped the Salvation Army by taking turns working the Kettle Bell and raising money for those in need.
Following that, the boys took to the shopping aisles, purchasing toys to donate to the Interval House of Hamilton. This has been a tradition that the boys look forward to each year. They enjoy putting smiles on the faces of children and families during a time when they may feel alone and isolated.
Having them know that there are people in the community who care for them is an important message the boys want to send.
The boys did not stop there however. They were asked to team up with the St. Thomas Stars and participate in a local food drive in St. Thomas.
The teams did not disappoint, battling hard on the ice during the game, and off the ice to battle hunger.
The coaching staff are extremely proud of these young men. They have been brought together by a sport they love but have used it to do great things in the community they love as well! Keep up the good work on and off of the ice!
