SCMHA & HAMILTON HUSKIES ANNOUNCE 2019-20 SHARED BOUNDARY

The SCMHA & Hamilton Huskies Hockey Club are pleased to announce that the Shared Boundary Initiative will move forward for the 2019-20 season.  Over the past season the Shared Boundary committee has met and after reviewing the past season we are excited to work even closer with both organizations for the 2019-20 season.

We have combined our coach selection resources and are working to select coaches for our AA and A teams.  The coach selection announcement will be completed by Feb 20, 2019.

For the 2019-20 season we will be combining our AA and A tryouts.  Tryouts will take place at Chedoke Twin Pad Arena.  Tryout will begin on Tuesday April 23, 2019 and will consist of 7 tryouts.  The process for selecting our teams will be as follows:

Hamilton Huskies AA coach will select his 17 players within the first 4 tryouts.  Following the selection of the AA team, the SCMHA A coach will select his 17 players within the final 3 skates.

FOR REGISTRATION PURPOSES PLAYERS MUST REGISTER WITH THEIR RESPECTIVE HOME CENTRE FOR TRYOUTS REGARDLESS OF WHERE THEY PLAYED LAST YEAR. SCMHA RESIDENTIAL PLAYERS WILL REGISTER WITH STONEY CREEK AND HAMILTON HUSKIES RESIDENTIAL PLAYERS WILL REGISTER WITH THE HAMILTON HUSKIES.

TRYOUT INFORMATION AND POLICIES WILL BE POSTED ON BOTH SCMHA AND HAMILTON HUSKIES WEBSITE.

Lastly, the SCMHA and Hamilton Huskies hockey club will determine after the AA and A tryouts whether we will be entering MD and/or AE teams for the 2019-20 season.  MD and AE tryouts would be in May following the A tryouts.  The determination to run MD and AE teams at each age group will be based on tryout numbers/participation. The maximum number of Hamilton Huskies MD teams at each age group will be one and where applicable the SCMHA could run combined age group AE tryouts.

The SCMHA and Hamilton Huskies look forward to another successful year of the Shared Boundary Initiative!
