The Hamilton Huskies are pleased to announce the appointment of Ryan Tocher as the Hamilton Huskies 12 AAA Head Coach for the 2019/2020 season.
Ryan who played his minor hockey with the Hamilton Huskies went on to play for the Hamilton Kilty B’s. Ryan was drafted in the 2nd round (30th overall) in the 1991 OHL Entry Draft. Ryan was drafted in the 4th round (101st overall) to the Quebec Nordiques in the 1993 NHL Entry Draft.
In 1991, Ryan represented Canada at the Under 17 level and won a Gold Medal. Ryan continued playing hockey professionally in the East and West Coast Hockey League, at the University level (Brock Badgers) and Senior A Hockey.
Ryan brings a wealth of coaching and player development experience to the Huskies. Ryan has/is coaching Minor Hockey (AAA) and has coaching experience at the Junior B level (Ancaster Avalanche/Hamilton Kilty B’s) and is currently working as a Hockey Instructor for the Hockey Farm and the Team Turek Hockey Summer Junior Development Program.
Outside of hockey, Ryan was inducted into the Whitby Sports Hall of Fame (2009) and in 2008 won a National Award of Excellence in Policing.
