Hamilton Huskies Coach Jeff Toole Wins Wismer Award

Huskies Jeff Toole (left), representing Cathedral High School, received the Wismer Award for High School Coaching Excellence Tuesday evening at the Carlisle Golf & Country Club. 

The Wismer Award, now in its 15th year, was established in memory of John Wismer, who spent 30 years in the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board at Central and Barton High Schools.

The Wismer Awards — one each to a coach from the Catholic and Public board — were presented at the Wismer Foundation Golf Tournament and Award Presentation Dinner on Tuesday, May 29 at Carlisle Golf and Country Club. Jim Weatherbee of Saltfleet High School received the award for the Public Board.
