Last season the Hamilton Reps Midget AAA team coached by Paul Korber were invited to take part in a Hero to Hero Salute by Waterloo prior to their game on Monday January 30th.
As part of the event the Hamilton team sent an autographed jersey to our Service Personnel in Afghanistan.
Below is the email received from

Dear Gail,
Thank you
and the entire Hamilton Huskie’s organization for kindly donating the Huskie’s
hockey jersey as part of the Hero to Hero Team Canada program. Being
typically Canadian, we love our hockey and the team of Canadian Forces members
here attempt to get together for a ball hockey game or two each week. I really
like the jersey, and I will wear it with great pride when we play, thank-you.
I and a
small team of Canadians are working in Northern Afghanistan in support of the
Afghan National Security Forces. It is important work, and Canadian
soldiers, sailors, airmen and airwomen are doing some incredible work here –
they are doing Canada proud, as always!
Once again
Gail, thank you and the entire Hamilton Huskies Club for the show of support!
Respectfully,
John
