Former Huskies Defenceman Signs With Quebec Remparts
Former Huskies player
Darien Kielb has signed with the Quebec Remparts of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League for the 2016-17 season.
Darien was invited to play in the Remparts Recruits Tournament and his play was described by the local media as "brilliant".
The Remparts are undergoing a youth movement as they enter their second season in their new home with owner Québecor Inc.
Darien was one of a number of young players selected to lead the team into their next phase as they rebuild and replace a few of their experienced players.
In a brief interview at the end of the tournament Darien explained,
" I wanted to prove to everyone that I was able to play at the Major Junior level. I received a few offers in Ontario (OHL) but I knew the Remparts were a good organization and the experience of playing in the new arena would be incredible"
