In memory of Cpl. Nathan Cirillo, with deepest
gratitude and respect for the Canadian freedom for which he stood. After a busy week of practices, tonight’s effort was undoubtedly demonstrative of the Huskies’ persistence and hunger for continued progress. Donning commemorative Canadian flags imprinted with recently fallen Hamiltonian soldier Cpl. Nathan Cirillo’s initials, the Huskies demonstrated exemplary unity and resolve as they outplayed their adversaries for the majority of the game, tallying a 4-0 lead into the third. Untimely penalties combined with the opposition’s late-game strategy à la Patrick Roy saw the home team battle the last 7 minutes of the game short-handed, and without any horseshoes thrown their way near the Spitfire’s empty net. While a tenacious performance between the pipes stopped all but two shots, the Huskies posted their second regular season win. “W” is for WIN, against Windsor.
“Without hard work and responsibility, there is no dream. Hard work is the foundation, whilst solidarity is the means to proven results.”
