On A Roll
The Minor Pee Wee Red Md are on a roll with a current unbeaten streak of 8. With solid defence and an aggressive forecheck the team has managed to climb the ladder towards first place.
After a slow start to the season, the staff decided to change things up front. The line changes have been a real improvement and our team has finally but in a few pucks. With strong positional play, hockey smarts, and net drive the forwards have shown their opponents that we mean business. With an aggressive forecheck and backcheck we have eliminated a lot of our opponents chances to score....KEEP UP THE HARD WORK FORWARDS.
The staff made a few minor adjustments to the D pairings which has helped solidify our defence. Aggressive D at their blueline has helped the team immensely. The D have also provided a few goals from the point as well as some timely rushes up the ice to help our offensive threat. Our D have been playing a real effective game lately with strong play in our end, composure, and breakout. Its not how many you score...its how many you takeaway...THANKS D..KEEP IT UP.
With the current unbeaten streak, our 2 goalies have shown why our GAA is one of the lowest in the league. Timely saves, confidence, and focus have helped our team have success. Our two goalies have given our team a chance to win in every game we have played this year. They truly are our "quarterbacks"...FORGET THE ONE THAT WENT IN.....REMEMBER THE 20 THAT DIDN'T
The team is gearing up for their next tournament in a few weeks in Ottawa...hopefully we can continue to play as strong as we are and bring home some hardware for the organization. However, we still have to stay focused as we have a few league games beforehand...stay the course...complete the task at hand....remember the TEAM GOAL!!
