Maltreatment Playing Rules 2021-22 Season
This weekend marks the start of league games in Alliance Hockey.  With start of league play we are taking this opportunity to be Proactive on the New Hockey Canada Maltreatment Policy.

Hockey Canada has made a commitment to making the game safe and inclusive for all who wish to participate, and the introduction of Section 11 provides 13 Members, Local Minor Hockey Associations and officials across the country with clearly-defined criteria for enforcing rules related to many different forms of inappropriate conduct. 



As part of the new rules, certain infractions will include an indefinite suspension pending a hearing, as well mandatory hearings for repeat offenders. 

Please ensure this gets your widest distribution to coaches within your Association. It is important that they read the following:

  2. Hockey Canada Rule Book 11.0 – 11.5 (Page 142-147)
