Minor Bantam Huskies White Donate $1,000 to Argyll and Sutherland's Poppy Program
On December 10, 2016, Minor Bantam Huskies White took a trip to the John Weir Foote V.C. Armouries on James Street North and provided a $1,000 donation to the Argyll and Sutherland's Poppy program.

This program allows donors to purchase a Poppy for $500 and dedicate it to one of the Regiment’s war-dead or other serviceperson who has died in the service of Canada, or to any member who has served or is currently serving.   The hockey team purchased two poppies - one in memory of Corporal Nathan Cirillo and the other in memory of Captain Thomas McQueen. The donation comes at the end of November, where the hockey team wore camouflage jerseys adorned with a poppy over the heart to honour those that have served and currently serve in military service for Canada.
