The Hamilton Huskies in conjunction with Jeff Toole, Head Coach Hamilton Huskies Minor Midget AAA, are pleased to host a High Performance Information Seminar for the Minor Bantam, Major Bantam and Minor Midget AAA & AA Teams. All players are expected to attend and parents are welcome and encouraged to accompany the players.Presentations will be made by: Dr. Paul Dennis PHD., Sports Psychologist - York UniversityRob Kitamura - Ontario Amateur Scout Tampa Bay LightningCarolyn Spadoni - Guidance Head St. Thomas More Catholic Secondary School.

This seminar is intended to give the players and parents information we hope will help them plan and prepare for the hockey and life decisions that lie before them in the upcoming years.

Dr. Paul Dennis PHD
Dr. Dennis recently retired after a 20-year career with the Toronto Maple Leafs as the player development coach and mental skills coach … Currently teaches sport psychology at the University of Toronto and York University … This spring was appointed as special advisor to the GTHL Board of Directors in Toronto, Ont. …Served as the sport psychology consultant to the Toronto Raptors (NBA), Toronto FC (MLS) and Canada’s World Junior hockey teams in 2003 and 2004 … Past president of the Toronto Marlboros of the GTHL and former GTHL coach … Former head coach of the Toronto Marlboros of the OHL … Is a published author in sport psychology journals and textbooks … Is writing a book on the necessary psychological attributes required for athletes, coaches and parents

Rob Kitamura
Rob is a native of Hamilton and has been a player and coach in the Hamilton Huskies system. He was the OHL's Director of Central Scouting from the 2004-05 season until leaving in July of 2011 for his current position as Ontario Amateur Scout for the Tampa Bay Lightning. Prior to working for the OHL, he was the scouting co-coordinator and a local area scout with the Barrie Colts. During his OHL years Rob also worked as the Director of Operations for Ontario's Under-17 program. During his tenure in that position, Team Ontario won three gold medals (2008, '09 and '11) and a silver medal (2010) at the World Hockey Challenge.

Carolyn Spadoni
Carolyn is the Guidance Head at St. Thomas More High School in Hamilton and deals with young students on a daily basis having to seek information and deliver options as the students endeavour to make career path decisions. Carolyn's focus will be to talk about NCAA academic requirements and eligibility.
