Leaving behind Saturday night’s home game loss,
Hamilton put forth a solid and consolidated effort in Cambridge today to soar above the Hawks in a convincing manner throughout the entire game. The Huskies outplayed their opposition with tactical mindfulness and with what one viewer described as a “play to win” attitude, rather than a “play to not lose” one. While once more overcoming a handful of penalties, momentum stood in their favour from the moment the opening bar-down goal lit the lamp, which was later supported by a second fruitful play from behind the opposition’s net, eventually sealing Cambridge’s fate with a pass to the open man for the empty-netter. Hamilton’s gradual upward push takes on Brantford tomorrow in a third game in as many days, followed by a challenging home-at-home next weekend against a Kitchener team whose recent record has opened the door for knocking opportunity.
