Eligibility: Who may tryout?
Residents of the Hamilton – ALLIANCE home centre (Formerly defined as Wards 1 – 8 prior to re-alignment of city wards for the 2018 Municipal Election).
Players currently on a Hamilton Huskies roster from Stoney Creek through the former agreement and Special Dispensation must remain at the same level or they will be forced to return to Stoney Creek. This comes directly from the OMHA-ALLIANCE.
U18 AA (2007/2008) and U8 (2017) & U9 (2016) MD teams will have Player Evaluations in the fall and information regarding these will be posted in mid August.
The OHF has permitted the Hamilton Huskies to pilot a AA-BB combination evaluation process.
All combo tryouts will consist of intrasquad scrimmages with referees for nights 1,2 and 3 for all age groups U10-U16. AA and BB coaches are expected to create a working relationship and communicate on selections. Final player evaluation lists will be split to create competitive teams each night and adjusted for each intrasquad game as required. The 4th session will be a Home Exhibition game with a local centre where possible otherwise it will be a 4th intrasquad game.
For U14 and up, combo tryouts will focus more on non-contact intrasquad games, no open ice hitting, etc.. 98% of all players have taken a contact clinic, but again, our focus will remain more non-contact. Still, the goal of this pilot is to make it successful, and refs will be informed before the tryouts that no open ice hitting is to be allowed.
OHF rules state all players must recieve 3 skates starting with the first scheduled session.
No releases will be made until after the 3rd session.
AA & BB Combined Evaluation Cost: $135.00
AA & BB 4 Evaluations - 3 Evaluations guaranteed starting with the 1st Evaluation date of April 27th (U10-U13) and April 29th (U14-U16)

ALL WALK UPS WILL BE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE THE ONLINE REGISTRATION FORM AT THEIR EARLIEST CONVENIENCE POST PAYMENT.

PLAYERS MUST CHECK IN WITH THE REGISTRATION DESK FOR EVERY EVALUATION TO RECEIVE A NUMBERED PINNIE AND TO BE PLACED ON THE COACH / EVALUATOR LIST. PLAYERS WILL RECEIVE THEIR PLAYER EVALUATION CODE # ON THE FIRST NIGHT OF EVALUATIONS AT THE CHECK IN DESK.
