Bantams MD win the North York Knights Challenge A Hockey Tournament
What do you do when you end the Bantam MD regular season in first place, with an overall record of 35-5-2? You enter a GTHL "A" tournament and emerge as CHAMPIONS. Congratulations to the Bantam Huskies MD team for winning the North York Knights Challenge A tournament.
Congratulations to all the players who worked hard, worked as a TEAM and over came some adversity to win their second tournament of the season. The boys dug deep to pull out a 1-0 victory in the championship game Vs a very talented Toronto Eagles team. The Huskies scored early in the first and then executed the coaching staffs game plan to a tee and even when the Eagles were awarded a penalty shot with 30 seconds left to play, in the third period, our goalie Jack came up big to preserve the victory. Great Job!
Congratulations to all the coaches, Jerome, Tony, Kiki, Doug and Robert who have dedicated their time on and off the ice for the past six months. These coaches not only coach our boys to compete in the game of hockey but also encourage them to take the lessons learned in hockey and apply them to their everyday lives. Well Done!
And finally congratulations to all the parents who from the first team party back in early June have supported the coaching staff and have cheered load and proud during all of our games. Without your support this team does not have the success it currently enjoys. Thank You!
