Good Morning, As you will see our schedule of games for the Tier 2 Nations Cup is now posted on our site. We are in the 2001 Silver division for this tournament. This tournament is not your usual individual team tourney but more about the Winning Nation!
Our Pod/Division/Pool is made up of 8 Canadian teams taking on the same number of American teams. We will play in a round robin series of 4 games to determine how Sunday - Playoff Sunday goes. Our opponents in the round robin play are from Michigan, Ohio and New York state. You will see that we have played one of our opponents before in Rochester, the Warriors of Cheektowaga.
Sunday we have to wait for seedings from the round robin games to determine when we play and against who. The Games go from worst to first and all will be played at the Hazel Park Arena- either the NHL or Olympic Pad. Here is the 2 extremes for Sunday:
915 am Canadian/Pool B #8 SEED versus USA/Pool A #8 SEED
OR
215 pm Canadian/Pool B #1 SEED versus USA/Pool A #1 SEED
All other Seed games happen about 1 hour and 30 minutes after the first time listed.
We are in a pool with some other MD/AE teams from Canada including Barrie Colts and our hometown Hamilton Huskies White. We are all on the same team - TEAM CANADA!
Some other information;
We will be playing in our CANADA uniforms provided by the tournament and will receive them on Friday I gather. As a pre-caution, please bring our RED shirt and socks in case of issues.
Graham and I will discuss this week the details that you need for the Bus Trip- Where/What/When's will all be out via an e-mail by Thursday November 20th.
In the meantime for those travelling on the bus, Please make sure that you bring the necessary documentations to successfully cross into the United States.
