On Sunday, Major Atom Huskies Red completed an amazing tournament by defeating Belle River by a score of 1-0 and winning the Ace Bailey Memorial Tournament!
On Sunday, Major Atom Huskies Red completed an amazing tournament by defeating Belle River by a score of 1-0 and winning the Ace Bailey Memorial Tournament!
The boys started the tournament with a dominating performance that ended in a 2-1 loss in triple overtime thanks to a brilliant display of goaltending by the Stoney Creek netminder. After the heart breaking loss, the team never looked back.
The boys fought through comebacks, bad calls, exhaustion and injuries. They showed a ton of heart and determination. They most of all played and came together as a team. You could see how much they care for each other in their play. Coming to each other's defense and holding themselves accountable. There was never any negativity on the bench or in the room.
We are so proud of this group and how far they've come in such a short time. We are excited to think of what's to come.
